We have had the most incredible year, and today we are looking back feeling so grateful for the wonderful opportunities and experiences we have been blessed with over these twelve months. With 2017 just a few fireworks away, we’re looking ahead with excitement and enthusiasm for what is coming next, and making our dreams come true in the New Year.

Time for a few weeks of R’n’R in Leschenault, puppy-sitting a couple of cute new friends and enjoying this lovely part of the world! Woohoo!!
Monday 12th December 2016
So we’re moving up to Leschenault tomorrow for a house-sit over the Christmas/New Year period, so it seemed only fitting to spend our final day in this area back in Margaret River! More wine, a lovely lunch at the Margaret River Hotel, and some chocolate at the Chocolate Factory. What a day!!

The best thing about basing yourself in Busselton? The Margaret River Wineries are just up the road!! Winery Day today. I’m in heaven! LOL Such a treat to be able to enjoy some of Australia’s best wines on a beautiful summers day..

Unfortunately our plans were somewhat changed due to fire burn-offs in the National Parks in South West WA, instead of camping in National Parks, we’ve settled into Busselton for a few days to explore the area from here. Not that this is a bad thing! First discovery – Meelup Beach – another contender for best beach!! Perfect swimming and relaxing.

Before leaving Albany today we stopped in at the old Whale Processing Factory and did the fascinating tour.. We learnt way more about preparing a whale carcass than we really needed to, but it was interesting to learn about the history of this industry and the impact on the local community and greater environment.
After moving on we found ourselves exploring the rather enormous Tingle trees in the Valley of the Giants near Denmark, such magnificent old trees, what a delight!

Talk about beaches!! Today found us at what might get the award as ‘ Best Beach in Australia’!! We haven’t been to every beach so we cant quite call it yet, but this one.. WOW!! Little Beach, in Two Peoples Bay National Park was AMAZING.. so beautiful, so clear, so picturesque.. Yeah, it will be hard to top this!!
While we’re talking about highlights though.. Dinner tonight was at Rustler’s in Albany.. Recommended by a local friend.. And this place did not disappoint! Eating out for us is a real treat being on the road permanently, so when you get to eat out, and the food is this good, the celebration is twice as awesome!! Thanks for a great meal!!

Here we are in Albany, Western Australia! What an incredible spot!! We have so much to see, we were confused as to where to start! Everyone on our trip has told us that Southern Western Australia has the best beaches on the whole island, so we’re pretty keen to get out and see what’s on offer in this area!! Today we started with the essential WA Museum and the ANZAC Memorial.
This is a very special place in Australia.
Saturday 3rd December 2016
What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than enjoying a coffee on one of Australia’s most famous and fun streets! Thanks for the caffeine hit ‘Cappuccino Strip’!!
